Epic Games Store’s daily giveaways continue through the rest of the year

The Epic Games Store’s latest free mystery game has been revealed. Until 11 a.m. EST on Dec. 24, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will be available to claim for free from the Epic Games Store.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is an action-packed Metroidvania. You’ll play orphan Miriam, who is beset by a curse that will gradually crystallize her body. She’ll fight demons throughout a Gothic castle on her way toward searching for a way to save herself and everyone else cursed with the same affliction. Miriam will utilize a multitude of weapons and magic attacks in her fights against monsters.

Typically, we know what game Epic is giving away a week in advance. However, during the holiday season, Epic literally wraps the game in mystery; the thumbnails on the Epic Games Store just show an image of a wrapped holiday present (complete with a bow on top). In 2024, the Epic Games Store gave away more than a dozen games in the two weeks leading into the new year, many of which were terrific, including Dredge, Control, and Sifu.

If you want to pick up the free game from Epic, all you need to do is log in to the Epic Games Store and claim it. The free mystery games are free for 24 hours, and reset each day at 11 a.m. EST, when the next mystery game will be revealed. We’ll be updating this story regularly as new games cycle in and out of availability.

For context, here’s a list of games the Epic Games Store has made free in December 2025:

  • Paradise Killer (Dec. 22)
  • Sorry We’re Closed (Dec. 21)
  • Blood West (Dec. 20)
  • Eternights (Dec. 19)
  • Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel (Dec. 18)
